The Altea is a multi-purpose vehicle produced by the Spanish automaker Seat. Contrary to most conventional MPV’s, is it very stylish and has a sporty character, which makes buying a used Seat Altea an interesting alternative for other second hand family cars. The engine line-up in the used Seat Altea range starts from the 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre petrol units, which are in my opinion, underpowered and require more thought before buying. There is also the 1.4 litre TSI, which offers a fine balance between performance and economy, but the best choice is getting one of the powerful diesels that combine fuel efficiency with good acceleration. Driving a used Seat Altea is very pleasant and although the car is a tall hatchback, it is surprisingly agile during cornering. When it comes to the versatility of its interior, the car definitely meets the highest levels of expectations. There is plenty of space for all passengers and excellent amounts of cargo room; with the possibility to increase by folding the rear seats. The driver’s seat and steering wheel can be adjusted in many ways which enables drivers to find the most comfortable position (while the controls are logically placed). All models of the used Seat Altea are also equipped with air-conditioning, front electric windows, a CD player, side airbags and traction control. Overall, it is a very universal machine recommended for a person seeking a stylish family vehicle.
